Web development and SEO were the first set of skills I put to professional use when I became the marketing director at Team Lupe Real Estate in Killeen. (2008-2011)
It was here that I learned the foundations and technical side of SEO. Within 8 months, I had the business web page ranking in the highly competitive top 3 slots for multiple local search queries, tripling our average website traffic.
While at Knotted Tree Studios(2018-2024), I oversaw multiple website builds, web management, and SEO campaigns for clients. I am proficient in WordPress and familiar with other CMS platforms such as Webflow, WIX, and the GoDaddy site builder.
I approach my SEO campaigns with content growth in mind, expanding the site’s library of information and conforming to Google’s ever-changing algorithm updates. From there, I focus on the site’s health, internal linking, and viewer journey.
Below, you will find a few examples of websites I have built.
Digital marketing can mean many things, and there is no “one size fits all” approach when crafting effective campaigns. Every industry is different, and so are the content creation needs of a business. My approach starts with in-depth marketing research, gauging the competitors, and formulating a basic idea of what kind of content works. From there, the focus is on creating the content your ideal customer wants to see and presenting it in an appealing, easy-to-digest fashion. I have worked with MMA gyms, churches, car dealerships, escape rooms, and haunted houses, to name a few.
I have built out and run PPC, Facebook, and YouTube ad campaigns. I effectively target the ideal customer for the particular visual creative and craft words that motivate the viewer to take a desired action.
During my time at Knotted Tree Studios, I had the opportunity to shoot all kinds of subjects, events, and concepts. Fine art and out-of-the-box themes have always been my favorite, but I have also shot weddings, events, products, lifestyle, sports, and commercial jobs. I have led teams on complicated and high-stress event jobs, coordinating staff and ensuring all equipment was functional and in order. My post-production workflow starts with a primary color grade and exposure correction inside Adobe Lightroom; the final images are brought into Photoshop if needed for in-depth editing and special effects.
Crafting video productions has always been a passion of mine. Telling a story through visuals is a fantastic form of art that I truly enjoy. During my time at Knotted Tree Studios, I have had the honor of capturing a wide range of projects. Creative projects have always been my favorite, so creating videos for escape rooms and haunted houses was an absolute pleasure. I have also shot weddings, funerals, interviews, documentaries, commercials, and educational courses.
My go-to camera for most projects is my Canon 90D on a Moza Air 2 gimbal, but when the project calls for more dynamic range, resolution, and frame rate, I can pull out my R5C or Blackmagic 6k pro.
My post-production workflow will depend on the project’s needs. I am proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Capcut, and DaVinci Resolve.
As I continue my education, I would like to become proficient in After Effects or Fusion and learn 2D animation with Toon Boom.
Below are some of the videos I have created this year.
